Wii Sports Resort - Golf 18 holes World Record -27
At first glance, the Wii appears to be nothing more than a child's console, and most of the time that's the case.
However, every once in a while a game geared exclusively toward a more mature audience pops up from some third party developer and completely blows everything else out of the water.
This is a list of the greatest M-rated titles and trust me, there aren't that many to begin with.
Coming up with these was difficult, and stacking them up against each other was near impossible, but I feel that this list accurately represents the best M-rated games the Wii has to offer.
Ah, Resident Evil: Umbrealla Chronicles.
Nearly equally loved and hated by fans, this is one of the best on-rails shooters for the Wii, in my opinion.
It's an on-rails first-person shooting game, which is quite unlike previous installments of Resident Evil.
Nonetheless, it's smooth graphics and storyline more than make up for the radical change in viewpoint and controls.
It combined stories of previous Resident Evil games, which is a clever concept in and of itself.
However, this game is only number 10 because, as far as Resident Evil games go, it was one of the weaker installments in the series.
Nonetheless, it is still one of the best M-rated Wii games available, regardless of it's status among other games in the franchise.
House of the Dead: Overkill also known as HotD: O is a quirky on-rails shooter that's filled to the brim with shocking action, and equally shocking profanity.
It's essentially a console version of the HotD games that can be found in every arcade across the nation, and indeed, the world.
HotD is a much-beloved franchise although the movie leaves much to be desiredand the game certainly lives up to expectations.
It takes on a much more comedic persona than the other games, and the graphical style is clever, although not "good" in the traditional sense of the word.
Despite the humor and fast-paced action, the game's incredible shortness and it's choppy graphics earn it a solid '9' on this list.
REA: RE is a port of the GCN remake of the original Resident Evil.
The creators succeeded in making a beautiful remake of the original, complete with bonuses, updated graphics, and much more.
Resident Evil was a great game, and giving it a full makeover only further cements it into the hearts of gamers everywhere.
There's really not much else to say about this game; it's a great remake of an already near-perfect game.
The reason is gets number 8 is because it's still just a port of a Gamecube game, regardless of how impressive it may be.
Finally, we get to a game without zombies!
CoD:MW:RE what a long acronym o.
It is a much-anticipated update to the somewhat disappointing CoD: World at War for the Wii.
However, one cannot deny that it's entirely inferior to the other versions of the game, and I honestly think that the Wii could have done much better with the game.
As with REA: RE, there isn't much to say about this game; it's a port of a game on another system.
Let me start off by saying that this is one of my favorite games, period.
As much as I would love to give it the top spot, I must be fair to the other games that as much as I'd like to deny it are better than this.
However, it's still a great game in it's own right, and undoubtedly deserves number 6 on the list.
It's an upgrade That's right, I said it's an upgrade of the Xbox360 version with some added features.
It also fixed some elements of the original that rendered the game near-unplayable looking at you, save systemas well as adding some other bonuses.
The one issue with this game is that it's not nearly as graphically advanced as the 360 version, but I think we can all here that top 10 wii golf games for adults graphics do not make a game.
Nay, the things that truly make a game great are, simply put, how fun it is to play.
DR: CTYD achieves funness Yes, funness.
That's a word because I say so on a level that the 360 version could not match up to, which is very rare for a Wii game.
I could go on for paragraphs about how great this game is, but I'm going to just put it at number 6 and move on.
This clever and quirky game from developer Suda 51 delivers all that I could possibly want in a video game: A great musical score, a visually stunning art style, and massive amounts of swearing and blood.
It's an arcade-styled action game based around crude humor and all around general weabooness, as evidenced by the main character's obsession with anime.
The game never takes itself too seriously, yet still manages top 10 wii golf games for adults deliver a compelling storyline, which is incredibly difficult to do.
Even minor boss characters have incredible depth, not to mention interesting dialogue and epic cutscenes.
No More Heroes is a gaming masterpiece, and is a must-play for any adult Wii owners who don't mind a bit of blood and some F-bombs.
Coming in just ahead of the original, NMH: DS takes everything that held the original back and makes it ten times better.
The original had annoying minigames, which the sequel took and converted into clever 8-bit mini masterpieces.
The original also had a bland and tedious overworld, which the sequel completely removed a decision that was undoubtedly for the best.
NMH: DS also took a more serious approach, offering even more character depth and storyline than the original.
Essentially, it took all the minor flaws from NMH and went above and beyond to fix them, while keeping all the elements that made the original great.
SH: SM is somewhat of a remake of the original Silent Hill, but it adds and changes so many elements of it that top 10 wii golf games for adults would be better described as an entirely new game that simply uses the plot of the first Silent Hill.
This was one of the most anticipated Wii games of 2009, and boy did it deliver!
SH: SM features split storylines based on the decisions you make throughout the game think of it as a hidden personality test.
A feature such as that could have been easily messed up, but the creators executed it perfectly.
The game can tailor skool daze gameplay to fit you, which lends itself to some incredible creepiness considering it's an installment in the Silent Hill franchise.
In addition to that new feature, the game also contains the expected updated controls and graphics.
All of these elements work together perfectly, which earns it the number 3 spot on the list.
Madworld top 10 wii golf games for adults a lot like No More Heroes in the fact that it's a visually stunning game with buckets of blood and copious profanity.
However, top 10 wii golf games for adults NMH, Madworld's art style is more akin to that of graphic novels and comic books.
Everything is stark black and white, except for the blood and the occasional comic-style sound effects that appear on screen.
The story is clever, and the commentary is smart, funny, well thought out, and, most importantly, not annoying.
Madworld offers everything from creative gameplay to stunning locales, and it all comes together in perfect harmony.
The hip-hop soundtrack is a bonus as well, and the creativity of the game as a whole is very impressive.
This game is the perfect example of what the Wii is capable of, and the fact that it sold so few copies is an absolute travesty.
Let me start off by saying that, not only is this without a doubt the best M-Rated game on Wii, but that I would even go so far as to say that it is the best game on the Wii, period.
An all-new bonus mode, extras, and updated graphics just scratch the surface of the new features this game brings to the table.
The older version was amazing on it's own, but the developers went above and beyond in making improvements to an already great game.
The part of this game that helps it stand out from the rest are, of course, the graphics.
Most of the Wii's library consists of games that more often than not have awful graphics.
This game's graphics on the other hand, are anything but awful.
The amount of detail and texture put into everything is astounding.
I could write paragraphs upon paragraphs of how great this game's graphics are alone, but in reality they're only part of what makes this game great.
The bottom line is, all the elements come together perfectly, and the end result is pure, M-rated fun.
And there you have it: The ten best adult Wii games ever.
These are the cream of the crop when it comes to M-rated games on what is usually considered to be a kids' console.
Hopefully this list will convince Wii owners to pick up these gems, and to think twice next time they're about to bash the Wii for it's library of "childish games".
